Empowering Youth for Emergency Response
GATERS is a dedicated team of teen volunteers trained in search and rescue, disaster response, and conservation efforts, committed to making a difference in our communities and the environment. Youth ages 13-19 are able and encouraged to join. Based in southern Wisconsin, team members are trained in every aspect of the mission: from wilderness navigation and survival, to swiftwater rescue. When not training for emergencies or disasters, GATERS are partnering with regional conservation groups and agencies to assist with making our outdoors safer and more accessible.
